[[Akarat's Awakening]] is a [[legendary Crusader shield]] that can be found in Diablo 3 and Reaper of Souls. This item can only be equipped by the [[Crusader]], and will very rarely drop for any other class.

The Smart Drop system ensures that Crusader Shields will usually roll with [[Strength]], or at least never roll with [[Dexterity]] or [[Intelligence]].

==Akarat's Awakening properties==

This item's [[legendary affix]] has an interesting effect of reducing cooldowns. As many Crusader [[builds]] focus heavily on [[CDR]], this is a useful item for players, though on the whole much less desired than several other shields.
