This is one of cinematic artwork unveiled at the 2008 Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals during the official announcement of Diablo III. It is rumored to be Archangel Imperius because of the upturned blazing sword on his breastplate.

Hey hey, sorry I wasn't sure you would see this if I replied here. I've never done forum or wiki editing or anything before, so this is all new to me. I've been watching these pages like a madman ever since the title was announced. I'm a composer/sound designer and I've been a Blizzard fan since Orcs and Humans, but nothing quite hits the spot like the Diablo...I actually just got the Diablo Archive for Christmas lol I've been carrying it around like a bible, so who knows, maybe given enough time, I can start making some more substantial contributions.--[[User:Gtub|Gtub]] 01:25, 2 January 2009 (CET)

There will probably be item sets in Diablo III, but what form they will take is still under debate by the D3 Team. The only official information we've yet seen about them came from [[Jay Wilson]], in a December 2008 [http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?pager.offset=3&cId=3172030&p=1 interview with 1up.com].

I didn't like the way they worked in Diablo 2, as by the time you finally got a set together, you generally leveled beyond the use for it. So you might save them for alts, which is OK, but I'd rather that they be useful for you to begin with. We haven't really decided how we're going to fix that.

More information will be added when it's available.

There was a green-colored items seen in the BlizzCon demo in October 2008, but it was a quest item; King Leoric's Crown, which was used to awake [[Leoric|the Skeleton King]] before the final battle of the [[BlizzCon]] demo build. The crown could not be equipped, just carried and then used to call the King's spirit back into his bones.

The '''Ancient Repositories''' is an infamous library within the facilities of the [[Vizjerei]] [[mage clan]]. It holds the most dangerous incantations which are housed there for the safety of the public.

The [[Wizard]] character of [[Diablo III]] apparently sneaked into the Ancient Repositories and learned how to manipulate the fabric of time itself, together with other powerful magics. She was caught and confronted by [[Valthek]], who she managed to defeat bu rendering him unconscious, even if he apparently should hold greater magical powers.
